Carpenter's Point

Carpenter's Point is the name of a historical hamlet settled in the 17th century by the Carpenter family and the peninsula at the southern end of Port Jervis where the Neversink and Delaware Rivers meet.   The modern neighborhood is home to the Tri-State monument, pictured here, Laurel Grove Cemetery, Laurel Grove florist and a small residential neighborhood along North Street, South Street, Chestnut Street and High Street.  It is also home to the city's community garden.
