This sprawling property on nearby Greenville Mountain has spent much of its history as a camp (first as a summer camp for urban youth and later as an athletics camp run by the Karvellas family). Hotel Fauchere
This boutique hotel in Milford is named for Louis Fauchere, a Swiss immigrant and operator of the original hotel and restaurant owned by his wife's family. Fauchere operated the hotel in the summer and during the winter worked as a chef at Delmonico's in New York. The main Italianate-style building was opened in 1880 and had eighteen guestrooms.
